Is there any beach in North Florida or Alabama where you can camp in tents?
I’ve been checking around for primitive camping sites in the Northern Florida Panhandle and Gulf Shores, Alabama where the tents can be set up on the beach instead of nearby areas. It seems that most camping areas are now set as RV parks and tent camping always seems to be delegated to remote locations away from the beach. We are looking for the experience of sleeping near the water to be able to fall asleep hearing the waves.

Gulf Coast State Park in Gulf Shores, Alabama has primitive camp sites but again it is across from the beach but still within walking distance. I believe there are regulations on camping on coastal properties that no longer allow "Beach camping"
